Michael Gye

PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION

Michael Gye has been practicing arboriculture since 1957. He has been a member of the International Society for Arboriculture for 40 years, and is an ISA Certified Arborist. He passed his exam and other requirements for Registered Consulting Arborist status with the American Society of Consulting Arborists in 1996. He is a certified Tree Risk Assessor (ISA and Worker's Compensation Board of BC certification), a Wildlife & Hazard Tree Assessor, a Qualified Tree Appraiser, has training in Bioengineering, and is a North American Tree Failure Reporting Program Assessor.

ARBORICULTURAL EXPERIENCE (45 YEARS)

Michael owned and operated Greenleaves Tree Preservation Company from 1961 until 1981 when he sold it to Mt.View Tree Service Ltd. He has worked as a consulting arborist since that time, as well as teaching Arboriculture courses which he designed for Camosun College Community Education Department. These included:

• Introduction to Tree Care
• Modern Arboriculture
• Liaising with the client and municipal bodies
• Fruit tree management
• Tree retention planning on Construction Sites

    

Heidi Krogstad, MSc. Biology

Heidi Krogstad is a member of the ISA and an ISA Certified Arborist. She has experience in tree protection planning and hazard tree assessment, is a certified Tree Risk Assessor (ISA and Worker's Compensation Board of BC certification), a qualified Wildlife and Danger Tree Assessor and a North American Tree Failure Reporting Program Assessor.
